Introduction

My boss travels the world over, multiple times a year. He is currently in Turkey, and will be travelling from thence to Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Mumbai, Australia, VietNam, and mainland China before returning home. And he wants me to write a blog for my upcoming trip on a motorcycle...go figure.

Actually, his nagging (yes, Mark) was good impetus to get me started on here. I figure it will be a good way to let family and friends know what I'm up to. I doubt I'll be posting anything terribly deep, moving or insightful, but I like to write, and this will be a better platform to do that than sending long emails to folks about plumbing disasters, dog adventures or motorcycle rides. I'll keep the intro short, because I know the other topics will wax long.
