As the countdown commenced for the last trip, it always seemed there was just one more thing...and then one more...and just-this-last-thing that kept having to be added. Surely, this trip will be different, right? I'll have it all mapped out! I'll be using those things from the last trip, so what else could I possibly need?
What else? Well, let's see:
In May, I didn't need a heated vest or heated grips (well, they wouldn't have been bad that morning in Minnesota). In May, I didn't need to have a renewed passport to go into Canada. In May, I didn't realize my rain pants were too dang short. In May, I didn't need winter gloves. Or a new odometer, and a valve job. I could have used the touring seat, but didn't have one then. Didn't have an EZPass transponder (which is going to rock on this trip!)
Sigh.
Maybe for the next big trip I'll have everything I need, instead of having to buy out the store. You think?
(Ignore the man behind the curtain muttering about tires, sprockets, powder coating, handguards, and lowered pegs. He's just a troublemaker.)
